So I was giving a presentation on a new method of optimizing an express shipment network . . .

when someone in the class interrupted my presentation and told me to basically stop talking. I guess he didn't like the fact that I'm not the most fluent person in the world. Anyways, the rest of the class told him to shut the fvck up. What I want to know is whether I should have approached him after class and threatened to kick crap out of him, or whether the repudiation by the rest of class was enough. What should I have done?

He already did enough damage to himself (by showing what an idiot/jack@ss he is), so just let him be...

His foot in the mouth is plenty:)
Extend him every courtesy and pay attention to his presentation when it comes time.:D

I find this story really hard to believe. I have never seen anyone tell the speaker to stop talking. Tell us what happened, exactly.

The guy owned himself in front of a bunch of people.
Hammering him afterwards makes you look uncool.

Just revel in the silent glory.
It makes you look distinguished.

He interrupted me and said that there was no need for me to go any further (even though my presentation was only about 1/4 complete and was on a topic that I'm certain was new to everyone in the class).
