hm, they actually LOOK at your card? I just flash them my Executive Business Membership card and they just wave me through. As a matter of fact, I've been to 6 Costcos in 2 states and I've never seen anyone actually stopped at the door. Hm.

People think I look like I'm 18 years old or so...I'm 21.

I never know whether it's a good thing that I look young or bad.

Oh well.

Can someone explain this to me? I don't understand why they even bother checking the card when you enter into the store because you need it to make purchases at the checkout anyway. Its not like people are going to steal big bulky items.

BTW, Sam's Club at Costco are the same type of store. Both are warehouses in which you buy things in bulk.

I don't know, but maybe some people (like tourists) that have never seen the warehouse before would go in and pick out a bunch of stuff and then be surprised to find out you need membership at the checkout. It also prevents people from going in there and just getting free samples.

Basically it just keeps people out that shouldn't be in there.

I went into Sam's Club yesterday and walked out with all kinda stuff I didn't really need. Mainly packing supplies for when I trade on the For Sale Trade forum.

I've never had a problem and that's not because we're on a first name basis.

They NEVER look at the pic, plus I use my Amex/Costco card and usually show them the Amex side of the card.

Ahhh, Sam's is now open till 9 on Saturday and till 7 on Sunday...I have been getting later schedules and it is getting rough...Christmas.tis the season to advertise :(...I remember when everyone just sat around the tree with the family instead of hunting for the best gift...

I'll be 21 in 3 months and two of my coworkers just this past week thought I was 15-16.

I guess I just have one of those faces. Hell I get carded getting into movies, buying M rated games (Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame) and what not.
