So I took the friggin laser off my shark & mounted it on

"You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads! Now evidently my cycloptic colleague informs me that that cannot be done. Ah, would you remind me what I pay you people for, honestly? Throw me a bone here! What do we have? "

Office Depot has the Konica Minolta® Magicolor 2300W for $349 after rebate, just stumbled on the deal on another site. I live in a bedroom community to Dallas, so even though the price was really good after rebate, I can usually find the deals a few days after the sales circular gets distributed. I call the closest OD, they're out of stock, but tell me there's one in a town 15 miles further away, I call them & confirm, drive there & find out it's a display (perfect condition), they offer to take 10% off because it's a display, but I know the rebate is invalid if the printer sells for <$495, so I get them to give me a $50 GC instead of the price break.

Now the sweetest part, Staples has it on special sale next week for $299, time for a BVG from American Express.

The math:

$499
-$50 GC
-$150 rebate
-$200 BVG from American Express
=$99 (& tax on $499)

Plus my HP LaserJet 1000 & Canon i860 both get sold on eBay.

WOOT

$99 after some deal engineering, muahhhaaaa

This thing is a beast, weighs ~60 lbs, 2 minute warm up & forever to print, but I  it...

If you think you're gonna double dip staples for that rebate think again, they'll void it.
