And get my own apartment.. I'm a full time worker, in the process of getting a credit card but I don't have a drivers license.. would I need one? And what else would I need?

Nah, you don't need a driver's license. Just carry all of your stuff to your new apartment.

You need to make a budget so you know how much you can spend on an apartment and other important stuff like food.

Well I'm pretty sure you'll need some sort of ID to rent a place. With no credit you also might need a co-signer or maybe a bigger deposit (been a while since I've done this). A big problem many have is renters shock. Deposits will be needed for utilties, phone, cable, internet, etc. and could cost a decent amount of money to start. Have any furniture you can use?

If you don't have a driver's license, you need a state issued ID card or US passport. Maybe (not likely) they might ask for a social security card as well, depending on how upscale the place you're planning to move into is.

As other members have said, start preparing a budget for yourself and bring as much furniture as you can with you. Doesn't seem like it now, but that furniture is going to have to last you quite the duration considering this is your first move out.

Hope everything works out well for you.

Budget, budget, budget. Know how much your are going to be making, what your monthly rent is, your utilities, any debts you may have. Also, budget for groceries and such.

They will probably ask for proof of employment and how much you earn. You may need some pay stubs or a letter from your boss.

Moved out this week. Granted it was into my grandparents basement, but its still a lot better than where I used to live.

Make a budget, see if you can afford it, get a license.
