I FINALLY found something worth purchasing on Tower for $25.05, & I noticed there was no where to input my code. Any easy way to squeeze a gift out of this thing for someone? What a waste of good money. :(

NOTICE AND PROCEDURE FOR CUSTOMERS HOLDING GIFT CERTIFICATES PURCHASED AT A FORMER TOWER RECORDS RETAIL LOCATION:

As of June 11, 2007, the assets of Tower.com, including the website, were sold by the bankruptcy estates of Three As Holding, LLC and MTS, Incorporated. Those holding gift cards of Tower Records or Tower.com should make their claims to the Bankruptcy Court presiding over these bankruptcy cases. For information, you may view the court docket, In re Three As Holdings, LLC, Bankruptcy Case No. 06-10866 (BLS) pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware.

Information may also be obtained on-line at http://www.omnimgt.com/files/f...ase.aspx?cboclient=802.

I thought Tower was only in Sacramento? Was the first one in Sacramento maybe? Either way, I do know that they've been out of business now for at least a year. Last time I went in there was October 06.

Depending on how old the card was, there might have been fees on it after x amount of time just so the state couldn't claim abandoned property.

There were never any fees. It's a 3 yr old card & I checked it early in the year.

Maybe I can sell it to someone in Japan, where there are still Tower stores.

Sorry to say it but your almost certainly screwed ... making an application to the bankruptcy court usually means get in line behind all the other people they owed money to & hope theres a piece of the pie left for you after they slice it up.

You might want to take a look at the court docket to see if another business will honor the card, but it isn't likely.
