I nearly passed out from the pain. Dang rusty thing. Got it doctored, tetanus shot and all. I'm limping around now :{. Woo hoo though, I get to wear a houseshoe to work.

I was trying to get a fishing spot through tall grass btw in the middle of no where of course . . . (with flip flops on). . .

I was delivering newspapers one morning when I was 12. I was only wearing flip flops too. I took a step, felt something go through my flip flop, and scrape the side of my foot slightly. turned out to be a nice rusty nail. Can't imagine how it feels to have your foot impaled by a rusty nail.

It went in at the center of my foot (between toe and heel) and I hit it at an angle - so it missed bone. At least a little over one inch of solid nail went in.

I've had that happen before as well. I was wearing flip flops, things seemed to slow down as I first felt then watched a large nail enter my foot. Must have gone in at least an inch or two. What a bitch.
