Actually, ive had quite a few as it is, I can still type, and normally that is a sign of not having enough, but tonight is differnt.

I didn't know you were in Santa Rosa. I lived in Petaluma for a good portion of my life.

I use to work 911 dispatch for a while. Actually, I worked as a paramedic and got hurt on the job so while I was healing, they put me in dispactch. It was pretty cool though. The one call I remember well was instructing a mother to do cpr on her dead infant(3mos old). It was a lot more nerve racking trying to tell her rather than being there doing it. After I was all better, I remember answering a call one time when I was talking to this guy who was just shot in the back. Talked with him for about 10 minutes until one of our ambulances got there and needed another truck, so I got to go to the scene. Turns out his wife shot him, their 3 kids, and then shot herself. He's the only one that lived. Really, very sad scene to be on.

IDIOT! If you don't know what you're talking about, just stfu! From my experiences around where I live, most dispatchers are men.

Jesus you people are sensitive. It was a JOKE. I actually applied for a dispatcher position myself, I qualified but didn't get the position for some reason.

They didn't want to dish out the cash for sensitivity training.
