So I sold an unopened copy of Diablo 1 to a local shop that buys games...

And I went to shop there today (a week and a half after selling it to them) and its sitting on the shelf with the rest of the PC games... OPENED! They took off the seal and everything.

Why pay me $8 for an unopened PC game if you're going to OPEN THE PACKAGE!

Maybe it's policy to check to make certain the product is in the box? It might be possible for someone to fake the cellophane wrap and put something worthless in the box. It seem like they would have opened it in your presence if that were the case though.

I probably should have put in on AT now that I think about it.

Thanks for making me feel bad!

They stole and used the key.
They gonna sell it "used" and when the next owner cant run it they'll say "too bad".

I am curious how the OP knows it's the same disc he sold them?

Wait... you mean you had this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...RVJ6UXY%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_500wt_1203

and they took it out of the box?

D:

No, just the Jewel case version. Still worth something SEALED!

It is a shop that has an incredibly small PC games collection (1ft by 9" space) and things rarely sell there. My old Bioshock and Crysis that I sold back a year and a half ago are STILL there.

What is this 'Diablo' game you speak of ??

They sell a bunch of used movies and video games. Everything from retro to current. It's like going to amazon.com for video games and movies. Most things are actually priced incredibly well.

For instance, I bought Borat, Minority Report, a couple 80's classics that my wife wanted on DVD and a CD I couldn't torrent for $4.50. Better than amazon really.

I also bought a component cable for my Wii for $6. A couple more bucks than amazon, way more convenient!

I would have paid you more than 8 dollars for that.
Why? A couple years ago, I got a new sealed one from Ebay for $5 shipped. All you need is a CPU w/ HW virtualization, and XP mode or Virtualbox, and it's good to go. Diablo's Bnet is still full of assholes w/ trainers, though.
