So, I rode a bike for the first time in a long time and. . .

My shoe string got tangled in the pedal, and I stopped trying to untangle it, lost my balance and fell into a ditch full of water - all in full view of my neighbors. . .

It was a ditch, pretty muddy - we live in a delta region with very soft mud if that helps ya any. . . and it rained yesterday. . .

Glad you're OK though. :)

Sh*t happens.... I ride my bike everyday and I just recently crashed pretty bad going down hill at speed in front of many people . I took a corner too fast when I had way more weight than normal in my backpack when my front tire was a little low on pressure and it dug in at the turn sending me flying over the bars. Luckily I landed in the grass and only slightly bruised my chest/ribs.

Hehe... When I was in college, I took a road trip with some buddies and a girl I was trying to impress. (And am now married to!) We stopped at my parent's house, and I was happy to see my old mountain bike that I hadn't taken with me to college. The tires were a little low, but I just wanted to peddle around a bit. So I tore ass down the driveway, down the street and circled around. The girl was standing out on the end of the driveway, and being silly, I aimed right for her, peddled like mad, and started to dismount and lightly hit the brakes... And, of course, with the tire pressure so low, the bike flipped over, I landed on my face, and the bike came crashing down on top of me. At her feet.

Everyone was dead silent, until I started laughing. Luckily, the only thing I hurt was my pride.

To be honest, my opinion of her dropped since she still hung around with me! :D
