So I put $50 in my pokerstars account

Have had a Pokerstars account forever and never actually deposited any money into my account. Always been play money for me. Got the betting bug though so I put in 50 bucks. Now I'm not really sure what I want to play. I want to play hold-em tournaments, but there are a million different kinds and they're all pretty confusing how they payout and stuff. What kinda stuff do you guys play on pokerstars?...besides play money 😛
 
Well, if you can easily afford the loss of $50, play and have fun... Personally I don't play poker, so can't advise there.
 
$5.50 Double or Nothing tournaments are pretty soft. 10 people start the tournament, the top 5 get paid $10. Easy money. It's under the Sit and Go tab, one table. Don't play cash games unless you have at least 20 times to the buy in in your bank roll. The micro games just aren't worth it IMO and $50 isnt enough to safely play in anything else.

For starters, check out the sit and gos. They have tourneys that pay out the top three players. When you get good at these, and have a positive ROI (return on investment) then you can try a large, multi table tournament.
