I never got along with my grandparents. i think it was because my parents got a divorce.
my moms mother thought i was trying to kill her (i carry a pocket knife all the time). one day i finally blew up and asked her why would i kill her? she is fvking poor! she has no money and nothing worth having.
granted she was mad heh so was my mother! but after that she was nicer to me. granted not much but she did talk to me.
my other grandparents i never knew. my moms dad was a alcoholic who never cared to meet me, my dads mother i have only meet twice and his father has Alzheimer's so he does not remember me even though he lived with us for a few years.
I know a guy with seven pitbulls you can borrow...er bad joke
Preferably put yourself the farthest you can from these people. That is what I do when I'm in a situation I don't like. If it is because of financial reasons you may still be near them that is understandable but get a job. When I was 16 I worked 40 hours per week slopping sh!t at McDonalds to help my parents out.
Believe me, in a single parent household you can alleviate an even bigger burden over your mom.
