So I plowed through my garage door

So I'm not really sure what happened but my foot slipped or something and I ended up plowing my isuzu trooper about 4 feet through my garage door. So my question is how much do these things run? I kind of want to get it replaced before my mom comes home from Greece in about a week. It's a single car garage door, I'll post pics in the morning when it isn't dark outside.

Edit: Oh yeah the car is fine, just some scratches on the already faded paint. No one will care.

Call your local overhead door specialist. It will not be cheap, because the doors are usually made of aluminum, and are cut to special lengths.

Good luck, but I would probably fess up to the 'rents myself. Then again, my parents were very strict about honesty, no matter the consequences.

Oh I plan to tell my parents what happened, I'd just much rather get it fixed soon because its A) a security risk with my garage wide open and B) I'd rather my mom not have a heart attack when she comes home after traveling for hours and hours home from Greece.

Yeah, you might be able to just get the panels that were crushed by the car replaced. It will still be costly, but will probably take less time. Again, the best place to call would be a local overhead door expert to let you know what you are dealing with. Most should be fairly honest with their estimates, but I would still be wary if the appraiser shows the usual tells.
