So i picked up an Inova X1 today...

Wow, for a single LED flashlight, this thing is MUCH brighter than i expected. I am VERY impressed... The X5 looked sweet, but $35 was more than i was looking to spend...

X1 was my first "quality" flashlight, and its my least favorite. X5 is a lot better, but for the money I'd get a Surefire G2. Or for much less money I'd get another one of the 21-LED lights I got off eBay. I have about a half dozen of them and they're great - my only complaint is that they take 3 AAA batteries.

Edit:
The reason I don't like the X1 is because it's a spotlight. But it's not bright enough to be a spotlight. When it's close enough to be bright, the beam is too small.

I have a Arc AAA. it is for my keychain. for anything else other than a spotlight, I would go with surefire.
