2012 Limited 2.5 PZE with 20K miles on it, CVT. This is so my MIL can tote my son around when she needs to.

I'm actually quite impressed with the interior quality, I'd say it's better than some of their Japanese counterparts, and dare I say, some German as well... :hmm: I'd say of all the cars I've looked at, this probably has the BEST value for the money.

Anyways, solid car, just kinda puts you in a tranquil mode on the road, because you can't really do anything else but chill the hell out.

Wrong Subaru. The Forester is the lez mobile. And yes, the CVT does seem to promote a rather relaxed driving style...and it's calming in traffic.

I've got a 2013 2.5 limited that I like alot, my only complaint is the low oil light that comes on sometimes, mine seems to come on when it gets about 1/2 quart low. This seems to be an issue on some of the cars, I just find it odd that a pretty new car looses any oil at all between changes.

There have been threads here and news articles about this. My Subaru's have never used a noticeable amount of oil. However, some do and Subaru says that a quart every thousand miles is acceptable usage.

The 2.5 has some well documented oil consumption issues. Either you're lucky or you're not.

Dang it, I thought for certain that my membership into lesbianism is cemented with this acquisition. Oh well, I'm one at heart.

So, what causes the oil consumption?

Har. Not sure. I've not read anything concrete about the root cause. This 2015 Fozzy is our 4th Subie so obviously I'm not terribly concerned.

Well, a half quart isn't a big deal, the light came on after putting around 3000 miles on the car in about 9 days, I think it has something to do with long highway trips, at least this is what I've heard is the main culprit.

I got my 08 Lezmobile, its been good to me thus far. I bought it with about 25K on the clock 4 or so years ago. now its up around 115K. Not as "comfy" or as quick as my old car (Chrysler 300m) but its been much more dependable.
