Just moved and guess what? No broadband 🙁 . Alltel told me I was not within the 3 miles but I was close and that I might be able to get 1.5mb or even 256k but they can't be sure. They said they would call bad within 24 hours so lets hope.

Anyway since I am stuck with 56k and haven't had it for a few years is there any tricks to help with online games to help maybe keep the pings in the 200-350 range?

BTW which is the better modem Smartlink or a Lucent/Agere chipset modem? Thanks
