So.. I might sell my car, suggestions?

I'm looking at buying a place and I want to cut down my car payments (and hopefully insurance payments). While it's been fun and I'm sure the opportunity will come up again, it's time to invest. 🙂

Anyway, I want something fairly new (2-3 years max) with warranty. Something sporty, practical, and maybe a little luxery. Looking to spend around $17-18k. Things I've got on my list are maybe a ~2001~ A4 or a 2002 WRX. Nothing Honda, BMW e46 is too expensive unless it has 50-60k miles which is too much. Considered an RSX type-S but don't like the styling. (And I like the WRX styling, the bug eyes too, call me weird.). Oh.. no Nissan, not a fan at all.

Any other suggestions, or arguments for the 2 I'm thinkin about?
 
Yeah I plan on it.. just looking for some additional feedback. My buddy owns a 2001 a4, and it's some decent luxery for the price, but less fun.. chipped but automatic.
 
Just to throw something else out there Lincoln LS6s are suppost to be really nice and very BMW like other than the price and resale. You can probably snap up a 2 year old one of those in your price range and get an extended warranty. Somebody else has already eaten the worst of the depreciation. Its no e46 but it is nice.
