So I met a CEO....

There is a CEO who donated a 20 million dollar business building that bears his name. My group and I are doing work there on some project Friday evening. No one else is there, so we small talk with him. All I can think of is should I have asked this guy for an internship? What do you guys think?

Hell yes, tell him you are looking around and to that effect... Good luck man, thats a door opening.... 😀

Definitely don't come right and ask for a job. Ask how the company is doing. Is it growing? Is the IT dept expanding? If so, in what way? Are they contracting work out or doing it in-house? If in-house, are there opportunities for co-ops/internships and, if so, how would one go about getting a chance to get one of those positions?

I'll probably never see the guy again, it was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity 🙁 Unless I email him, which I doubt the CEO of a company has his email posted even on the company website. bah 🙁

Do some research on the company and find a place for what you want to do.
Go back and re-introduce yourself.
Take some iniative.
You may end up with a job.
