So i lost my wallet

I had my license, some money, credit card and my social (i know i know i'm an idiot for carrying my SSN around)

so what happens to me now?

call up the credit card company, cancel card, pray that the person who finds it isn't a dick, and uses it for some malicious act 🙁

Call the 3 major credit bearaus and give them a heads up that this information is out and about so that no one can get establish credit in your name.

Call the police and file a report to have record of the date and time in which it is missing... so if charges are made afterwords you have proof against them being your charges.

I lost mine in vegas. I took all the cash out, and only had a license an insurance card and a couple credit cards. Cancelled the cc's that night and the Rio called me at work about two weeks later saying they had found it. Everything was still in it when they mailed it to me (on their dime). :thumbsup:

my credit isn't all that great. Even Sears denied me their card. Would be a nice surprise if someone started building credit under my name though

Uhhm... don't know if you want that in this case

You can get an alert posted for your SSN, then all companies that require your SSN must deny services until they receive 2 forms of photo ID in person. If John Smith suddenly tries to sign up for some credit cards under your name then he's going to have to find you and bring you to the representatives to do it.

You can get your SSN reissued I believe

What will it cost to get my SSN reissued, and my DL reissued? I never carry money in my wallet and the only day that i decide to withdraw 150. I lose my wallet. Man I liked that wallet too.
