Seriously.
If you're going to be broke for 3 months renting, well, sell one of your cars.

On second thought, I hope you will continue to drive. Clearly, your judgement is lacking, and there's no reason to think that won't continue. So keep driving. Sooner or later, you'll get busted for it, and then you'll be off the road for a good long time. Maybe by the time you're legal again, you'll be older and wiser, and more careful when you are behind the wheel.

Without knowing what country you live in (I'm going to assume Australia as per the AU but I'm fully aware it could mean something else entirely) its really hard to say what the better option is.

I'm going to have to assume that courts, cops, and all that good stuff works similarly where you are as compared to where I live. If that is the case you don't want to take chances driving without a license. If you get caught you're either going to lose your license for a longer period of time (more likely) or permanently (I doubt this would happen). In either case, you're just going to do more damage to yourself in the long run.

I am curious to know why you assume you've got a 90% chance to lose your license. Do you have other black marks on your driving record? Is there some local law that the rest of us aren't aware of?

In America the best way to deal with moving violations (speeding tickets, reckless driving, etc..) is to simply show up at court. If the officer doesn't show up, generally the case will be dismissed and you have simply lost a day at work. Even if the officer shows up, you generally will get a deal from the prosecutor. Your best bet is to get a lawyer. Where I come from almost ANY lawyer will talk to you for 30 minutes to an hour for free, they need this time to decide if there's anything helpful they can do for you. Now, keep in mind, this is not the sort of thing most "good lawyers" do for a living. Chances are, if the courts there are anything like the courts in America, there are plenty of local lawyers who do this for a living. You pay them (moderate fee) they convert your ticket into a fine. (Since I don't know where you are I have to say I honestly don't now how tickets work there either. Do you get points for violations? )

Anyway, I hope this was helpful for you.

Clearly you're not safe behind the wheel - a break from driving could be to your advantage, if you make the most of it.

You're a fvcking idiot.

I hope she's not living in your house. Cause if she were, I would have kicked her out.

because you know how DUI laws work right nerd? And you have kids? (I am hopeing you don't *really*)

I hate the MADD/SADD crowd though.

If you drink anything with "COH" (nerd reference, hopefully ^5'd) in it, you risk a DUI. Most of the time you'd have had no problem completeing any task other than blowing into a 'scientifik' measuring device. I am not saying having a 6 pack and then getting into your car is cool...but what if you got a DUI because you were sleeping in your car, washing it, getting your cell phone out of it while 'legally' drunk? You weren't driving at all, yet you will go through all the processes in place if your keys were on you.

DUI's in general are really about politics...and this ain't the forum for that mess.

I hope to God that your testicles are rendered useless, thus negating your ability to reproduce.

Sure have, and have paid the consequences already, I'm not going to get into a big argument about it here, because its been done before(use the search feature if you want my response to anything you say on this topic), and frankly there are too many ignorant people on ATOT.

Yep....i am 90% sure i am going to loose my license in the next few weeks after being caught doing 87KP/H in a 50 Zone. :(

The only problem is how am i going to get to work? It is about a 70KM trip (one way) to work and there is NO way i am going to catch the train to work (I would have to get up at about 4:30am every morning).

That leaves me with 2 options:

Drive my other car (my sexy Holden Torana) to work without a valid license and risk having to face the consiquences if being caugth.

OR

Rent a place in the suburb where my work is and be broke basically for at least 3 months.
Also this will be my first time living away from home (yes i still am living at home) so it will be a bit freaky.

What do you think I should do?

Thanks all :)

Slick

Hire a really good lawyer?

Yes. And unless you really don't give a sh!t about ever having a DL again, don't drive w/o one.
