I lost my cellphone and found it had been used for wireless web and anytime minutes. Even though I sent sprint an email stating that I wanted the phone suspended until I found a new one. I must say that website is really hoaky, with that Clair personal assistant. I mean just give me the contact info to get customer service ppl. But anyway, I go to check my account and see those minutes used so i decide to check my voicemail and some girl I dont know called and left a msg to the person who used my phone. So, I have her number, what should I do with this information? Call her and ask her who called her using my phone, or give the number to the police and let them handle it or what. All I know is I want my phone back and this is the only lead I have. By the way, ive already called them and had the used minutes subtracted and phone suspended.

Call Sprint and tell them your phone was stolen. Simple as that. You need to talk to a live person, not send an e-mail.

Go to the police dude! I don't know if they might care, but its worth a shot (specially with the lead you have now).

Police!

or.. let him use it for a while until you find him out. Call your cell phone company and get the numbers that were last called. Chances are that one of them is the dude's home.

Also, since you notified the cell phone company, you are not liable for any more minutes he uses. Just let him keep using the minutes until he gives himself away. If you go out and buy a new phone, he gets off scottfree.

Don't call the girl.. but write her name and number down. Use anywho.com to find out more information about her and the other numbers that were called.

It will be nice when you can show up at his house with your friends and a crowbar and politely ask for your missing phone back.

Yeah, you're lucky that someone called the phone for whoever has it now...when I lost mine, I had no such luck...but then someone ended up replying to "Lost Cell Phone" flyers, so I ended up okay.

I hope you get it back with as little hassle as possible, I know it's gonna suck.

The one who stole the cellphone might also have a terrorist link to Al Qaeda and uses your phone to plot a potential terrorist act.
Time to give Tom Ridge a call and raise the terror alert to orangish red.

Seriously, you should go to the police station and give them the phone number,
they have far more power to pressure sprint to cooperate.

They are very good about taking care of this thing if you call them. I wouldn't have emailed if I were you. My gf lost her cellphone and we called and canceled it. Would have been nice to catch whoever took it.

Wait, so someone found your cell phone and started using it for themselves, including giving the number out to people?

Faith in humanity (-1) :(

I thought about changing my cell phone startup logo to "reward if found" but anymore I don't think that'd ever get it back to me.

are u crazy??? u lost your phone and didnt call them immediately to deactivate the SIM card - my God - it's the same as with bank cards, there is no time to loose.

Ex.: lost my wallet on Saturday, then I called them to deactivate my bank and credit cards and then monday I see ppl went shopping for $400. Lucky me they did the first purschase 10 minutes AFTER the deactivation, so it's the loss of the stores that didnt card the criminal when he used my card and name to pay.

Man u really have to do that right away or u could loose alot of money and no chance getting it back!!!!!
