hmm that reminds me of the game we played wen i was a kid called Suicide. I think it was just Wall-ball, where you nailed the person who didnt catch the ball and get to the wall in time.

We called that "Fumble" for if you fumbled the ball then you had to run to the wall.

We played jailball which is similar, only when you were out you went behind the other team in an area called jail. So basically you get get hit from both sides. Catching the ball did not make the thrower out either. We used various sizes of balls. One of the balls was slightly larger than a softball and could be palmed...talk about burnnnn.

A slightly deflated Volleyball hurts like hell. When someone was hit they had to go in no mans land and do pushups while everybody takes shots at them.

I played this variation a few times . . . your side could lob one to the jail and if you caught it you were back in . . . . but if the other team caught it the thrower was out . . a little different.

We play at Rice U. from time to time, we re-arrange out commons (I'm at Wiess College, if that means anything).

But we play a fun version . . . . when you get out, you have to finish a cup of beer to get back in. No side ever wins . . . games have been known to last upwards of 6 hours . . . towards the end it just a couple of drunk diehards stumbling around falling over themselves.

this is the new face of dodgeball.
