So, I just ruined my freelancer CD

Took a slot cover to the annoying sticky thing on the freelancer CD sleeve and damaged the CD quite badly - should I try to return it our find a place to download it (I don't think I would be violating any laws, since I did buy it...). Why can't they just use a plastic case?

OK, that extra detail does make it less Darwin-worthy, and much less amusing than the image of you saying "I hate you sticky part!" and attacking it with a slot cover. 🙂

In your place I'd have tried scissors (cutting safely above the CD) or a fingernail before scraping a piece of metal across the CD though.

Get a Game Doctor (changed the name to Skip Doctor) from EB. If the scratch is not down to the metallic part then it should fix it and if it does not they will replace the disc you are trying to repair.
