So I just reinstalled SMAC

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, and then I installed the v4.0 update. However, upon trying to load the game, it says my CPU (P4 3.4E) is unsupported. It tells me I can either continue playing with possible crashes or cancel. I click OK to proceed, then it crashes to the desktop.

Is there a workaround for this?

Isn't there an XP/2k update available for SMAC? That might fix it

Either that, or find something in your INI that deals with "voxels" and set it to 0.

Aye, I found it shortly after I posted that, chock that one up to trying to do several tasks at once.
