a 251 memory card, and Metroid Prime. I got it at BB, and it came with a free carrying case/wavebird (which rocks:D).

Metroid is AWESOME, but what else should I check out? I've played a bit of SSB and Super Monkey Ball with a friend, and they are kinda cool - Monkey Ball moreso than SSB, IMO anyways.

I already have Live and Madden '03 for my PS2 along with Vice City, Devil May Cry, FFX, MGS2...

Any recommendations? I'm really new to the GC :) :eek:

What did you pay if you don't mind my asking? I was thinking of getting a GC myself just for Metroid.

I'm trying not to look at the PS2 and Xbox collecting dust in the corner, untouched in 8 months...

Platinum GC + Case/Wavebird = 149.99
Metroid Prime = 49.99
251MemCard = 19.99 (The 59 was 14.99 so I figured WTF)

Total was something like 233.xx

The GC was 149.99 with SuperSmashBros @ Target, but I don't like it too much, so I got it at BestBuy.

I was going to do a deal with a guy on here, but he told me had someone else in line if I wanted to bail, so I did because I wanted it NOW, not next week :D

Sunshine looks pretty cool.

A couple of weeks ago I asked my friend if he was going to get it and he said "No way, mario with a watergun just isn't the same!" I saw him yesterday and asked him if he got Metroid....he told me "I'm too busy playing Mario, plus Metroid just isn't the same in First Person."

I should've smacked him right there!

I don't like Mario Sunshine that much but my brother loves it.

I can't wait 'til December 9th! My exams will be over and the first thing I will do is buy Metroid Prime! :D

It is a great game!! It seems like it would be easy but it's not!! It's a lot of fun! :):)

Congrats on the good purchase I got one about 2 months ago now.

Games i would suggest to get next are

NHL 2003 or NHL 2k3 by sega when it is available. if you like hockey :D
Super mario sunshine is A master piece it is one of the best games i have played in the last year.
Tony Hawk 4 if you are into the skateboarding thing
Monkey ball 1 or 2 or both :)
Robotech Battlecry
Simpsons Road rage
Network adapter and Phatasy star online 1 & 2
FIFA 2003
Resident Evil 0

Eternal darkness is sweet, i had a ton of fun with that. Also I think youve got to give Super Smash some more time... me and my friends played that thing so much. We have around 200 hours on it. One word of warning though, it can temporarily tear friendships to pieces ;) :D
