How much is one of these babies?

Online the price ranges from US$528 to about $720. Most reputable stores are in the $600 to $700 range. In fact, B&H Photo sells it for $599 in stock, despite the $799 MSRP. This i far cry from the (I think) $1500 MSRP of the previous model E20. For the Torontonians, pm me if you want the names of stores that are taking pre-orders (NOT mail order) for the machine for C$999 (US$635).

Heh. Yeah, it's a bit more than I wanted to spend, but it's now within the reach of this mere mortal.

We just got a DMR-E20S at work, but I haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

Just wondering why you guys got that model. The E30 is priced similarly online now and is the direct replacement for the E20. That said, the E30 is probably not quite as solidly built as the E20.
