Compensation states:

54,000/Month.

Sign and thank them?!

OH YEAH

Retirement by age 30... would have never guessed

When you bring it up, don't say it right away. Start with:

"Actually, I've been meaning to speak to you about my salary. Instead of 54,000 I'd like to start at 48,000."
"You what? Why do you want less?"
"54,000 a month is a little overkill."

Laugh, then show them the agreement.

It could backfire if they don't ask about it and directly revised the agreement to 48000/year without noticing the mistake on the first one.

what a good laugh. I'll keep you guys updated on their reaction when they figure out the mistake.

What country? Are you in a country that uses commas and decimals differently? Some countries use 54.000,00. Maybe he's foolin all of us and only making $54.00 per month :Q

Sign it. Photograph it, scan it, document it. Then do nothing for 1-2 years. At that point, come back and tell them that you have had enough finally, and you have no choice but to say something about the massive back pay that they owe you. Threaten legal action.

USA.

It's obviously suppose to be Per Year vs Per Month.

Torpid - that would be one hell of a way to exit the company!

Yes. You should consult with an attorney first to see if it's binding or if it would fall under some sort of common sense error type thing. It would be worth it if it paid off. You would be a millionaire.

This.

Sign that sh*t! You can always pretend like you didn't notice the mistake. They sure didn't.

See how many months you get paid before payroll questions it.

There is only 2 possible outcomes if you sign that

1. You are incompetent. You did not read before you sign
2. You are dishonest. You are trying to take advantage of the company.

Neither look good.

For 54 grand a month, I'll take those odds and chances.

Yeah, but I imagine that his looking bad will be offset by the $10,000 suits he will be wearing once he walks away a millionaire.

It sounds like Zimbabwe to me but 54,000 would be WAY off.

It would be more like 54,000,000,000,000 Zimbabwean dollars ... and you would probably be able to buy two (2) loaves of bread with it.
