damn..the ending was quite compelling....taking out a potential grandslam....wow...!

Overall though, I felt that the Sox went into the game relying too heavily on brute force. The were definitely capable, but it let the Cardinals use strategetic bunting and such to raise their score.

Either way, I think the sox learned their lesson and made good use of their new found wisdom:

the Cardinals don't give a sh!t about curses

i can't imagine how it would have felt to take in that game live, especially after the win

Yes they won, but they almost blew it on countless ocassions. Basically, they were really motivated and very talented, but they were relying on line drives and such instead of strategy at the plate.

They won on talent imo, instead of relying heavily on strategy like the cards, or at least like the cards in the beginning of the game..once they got on their knees it was over...:p

You gotta give it to Manny, every play to him is an adventure. The cut off dive from a Damon throw 20 yards away was a classic play. :) Then he goes out a robs Cairo with a beautifully timed grab against the yankees last month. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground with Manny's D, its either incredible or pathetic. To his credit that second ball that went off the top of his glove was a pretty hard play to make.

haha, i love how Jon Kurk said after the game; "99.9% of major league outfielders make that play on the run."

I don't really know anything about Manny's defense, but apparently its atrocious.
