I film weddings for a living and I just came back from one and something pretty crazy happened.
So I am filming the VERY LAST shot of the reception...bride and groom coming through the tunnel of hands of all the people, when all of the sudden this huge fight breaks out. My tape ran out right after the last shot so I couldn't really get any good footage. It started at the bar, then the two guys who were fighting were dragged out to the lobby where it turned into a freakin RIOT. Somehow some women got involved too, and one of them was thrown against a huge mirror and her head smashed against it, and she was knocked out on the floor, blood everywhere.
I swear to god there was about 20 people just throwing punches at this point (open bar...you can imagine everyone just had to jump in - they're all drunk). Then they shut the lights off to try and calm things down, and then a few people called 911. Then as I was trying to leave I was ordered to go into the basement cause they were locking down the place. Stayed there for about 20mins before they let us come up, then when I came outside there was 2 ambulences and about 6 cop cars. You could hear more sirens coming in the distance. People on stretchers, etc. etc.
Then to top it off, as I am getting into to my car some drunk guy comes up with his girlfriend and says "what the f*ck are you doing to my girlfriends car man? huh? what the f*ck do you think you're doing? I am gonna kick your ass"...meanwhile the girl is yelling at him telling him its not her car...when he realizes it he just turns around and walks away without apologizing. Hate people like that...
