unfortunately, that would blow peoples minds and they would get too many returns for their routers "not working". i think they need to make their access points as "accessible" as possible...with the option of security. else Joe Average User will be calling tech support 24-7..
but i agree, over the years to come, *something* has to be improved in this regard (i have 10 available networks from my seat in my apartment right now...and 6 are unsecured)
