so i just got a dell

Ok currently, I have a Asus K8V, 3400 64bit athlon, 2gig corsair ram cas 3 (I think, aquired on a different pc and swapped it into my main), 6800ultra gforce card, 2 160 gig sata drives (no raid). Things run pretty well on it no issues.

So the question is, do I keep the dell with these specs:
Dimension 5150 ,Intel Pentium 4 Processor 630 with HT Technology (3.0 GHz)
1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
80GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM)
and buy a good pci-express card

If I got a good vidcard and bumped the ram to 2gig you think that system is any better then what I have now?

if you spent alot of uneccesary monies on the dell, then it would be better than the athlon. Not really that worth it for a little bump in FPS

dude ur athlon system will run circles around the dell especially in the cpu department. And a 6800ultra is still decent, a 7800gt is only a bit fater overall. Really not much point unless u want to spend money.

Keep the current system..and try and fix that poll you have 2 serpate ones, yes to keep athlon, and yes to go with dell..

I needed a good reality check to keep from being like a 5 year old on xmas and ripping the box apart to play with a new toy. I got the dell and 20" 2007fp lcd for a good price so I'll probably end up selling both (have a 2007 fpw already).
