So, I held an Oscar in my hands tonight.

Impressive nonetheless.

The award was for best sound in 1986 for Platoon. My neighbor's husband was awarded with that Oscar and she had it on a shelf in her computer room. I happened to be over there working on her computer for her. Nice lady...her computer was FUBAR though. :laugh: I had to reinstall Windows.

It was pretty cool to hold an actual Oscar trophy in my hands and imagine being up there accepting it even though I'm not at all impressed by such things.

He passed away a couple years ago. Nice guy, I only talked to him a few times though.
