Most of anandtech would recommend you save a little more to get an Nvidia 8800gts 320mb vid card. It will run you between $250 and $300 on Newegg.

Could look into the 8600gts for much lower power consumption, and passive cooling, but if you are making a real gaming machine, stick with the 8800gts.

Alright I decided to go with the 8800gts. Should I stay with the P5B deluxe or go with something different?

Look into the Gigabyte motherboards with the newer P35 chipset.

Motherboard:
Definitely go with a P35 mobo instead of the older P965. I might suggest the gigabyte DS3R:

Hard Disks:
A Western Digital Caviar SE16 with a part number ending with AAKS will outperform those 7200.10 segates, will be quieter, and use less power, and is cheaper (According to techreport.com). The downside is its a 3 year warranty rather than 5 year.

Memory:
Not sure why you are going with what you chose. Its been my experiance that CAS 5 compared to CAS 4 on a C2D setup makes zero difference. I would go with the cheapest DDR2-800 memory you can find. Like this kit for $79: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820609226

Keyboard and Mouse:
If you are building this for gaming, I would suggest not getting a cordless keyboard and mouse. I've gone from a $60 Microsoft cordless laser desktop setup to a $20 wired setup and I like the wired setup way more.

Definitely get the Gigabyte DS3R over that mobo. Its cheaper and better.
If this is a gaming comp, that kb/mouse setup won't work. Look at the Logitech G15 KB and the G7 mouse.
That RAM is twice what you can pay for decent 2GB. Look under hot deals and get whatever decent brand is on sale.
You might be able to pickup a cheaper copy of Vista if you look in the FS forum.

Ummmm......I say go with the Asus P5K Deluxe....comes with Wi-Fi and is a solid overclocker.....currently running my E4400 @ 8 X 400 = 3.2 Ghz. Can't complain about that.....no problems. Abit also make a good P35 board. I would stay away from a P965 board simply cuz of the headaches and the Bearlake chipset is much better outta the box. You won't be sorry!

Why would you get that Antec PSU when you can buy this one for the same amount of money? The Corsair is a better PSU by every measure.

1) Agreed with jpeyton; go for the HX520 instead of that antec.
2) There will be a minor Intel CPU price cut on July 22 (I say minor due to the price range you're looking at), you may be able to get something a little better at stock.
