10 Points if you knew that was a sleep study.

They confirmed what I already knew (funny how we always have to pay money to confirm what we know is wrong with our own bodies).

I've got severe obstructive sleep apnea. My pulse oxygyn measure fell into the 70 percent range for instance.

Anyway, halfway through the study, they placed the cpap on me and I remember thinking - hey this feels weird.

Next thing I know it is 5 hours later and they are waking me. I felt better yesterday than I had in YEARS - literally. Now, I've got to wait a few weeks for the wheels of medicine to turn so that I can get my own machine. It was that good though.

Guess I'll look like the borg with my mask on and tubes running everywhere when I sleep. . .

And are you overweight?

I went back to a doctor because my sleep apnea has been getting to me. He didn't understand why I had it because I'm not overweight and my tonsils are not enlarged. So, I've gotta go back to a pulmonologist for a second opinon now. Yippee.

I know several people who use those machines. They agree they get much better sleep and have fewer sleep related problems during the day. But they all complain about those masks. I hope you can find a good fitting mask that doesn't pinch.
