So I guess Bob Lutz was right - gas prices are starting to drop below 2 dollars again.

I saw the first stations with gas prices south of 2 bucks for the first time in a while here 😱

Can GM and other makers break the stigma and damage already attached to SUVs after the gas price increase?

It's been less than $2 for a little more than a week in the Atlanta 'burbs. Of course, Georgia pays less in gas taxes than Florida.

He saw the future of gas prices, too bad the light at the end of the gas prices tunnel was the oncoming train of bankruptcy.

Wow he's a visionary. He really should start up one of those Psychic phone networks. Captain Obvious to the rescue!

Prices have been below $2 here for the past week or two. Very happy about that!

They've been out all along. Hell, just today there was some woman in some giant GM thing I've never seen before, at a stop light, but half in and half out of the intersection. Seriously, she was past the crosswalk, and people had to drive around her. Best part was she was talking on her cellphone, and holding a McD's cup in the other hand.

The people buying SUVs aren't doing it in the droves they once were - especially in the wake of the recent gas prices. They have still yet to pick up momentum again.

Expect your electric rates to go up, especially if you get your power from a co-op.

Its not even close to $2 here but I can live with that. What I'm more worried about is the price for Natural Gas. 🙁

I was going to trade in my 4Runner for a Tacoma (better MPG), but if it stays below $2 in the long term I will keep the 4 Runner and pay it off in a couple of years.

My wife drives an Integra thats paid for, but when she gets a new car it will be something like a Civic. 🙂

Paid $1.99 today. Too bad it still cost me $48 to fill up 😛

You have a 25 gal tank?! What kinda ride is it?

26 Gallons, actually. 😉

05 Dodge Ram - 13.5MPG over 340ish miles, a 10% improvement over my old Jeep 😱

Prices for Regular Unleaded are hovering around $2.00 here, but the price of Diesel remains high as an offset at around $2.65.

My theory is that the oil companies are becoming sensitive to consumer complaints on price gouging. In response, they have dropped the price of gasoline, but raised the price of diesel (and by extension... heating oil).

So, while we won't pay for George Bush Sr.'s and CEO of Exxon/Mobil's bonus upfront, we'll pay LATER via price inflation on goods due to the increased cost of truck transportation.

Remember, Exxon/Mobil had a record year in revenues last year, nearing $300 BILLION. I would imagine they will top that revenue this year...
