I have a server that I built about a year ago for a specific purpose. I no longer need it for what I built it for, so I wondering what to do with it.
Here are the specs:
Dual 1GHz Pentium III Processors
1 GB of SDRAM
1 16 Gig SCSI X-15 Hard drive
Intel MotherBoard GX Chipset
Additional NIC

Any ideas?

Well, excepting the "give it to me" response that I'd like to give, I'd sell it. You can put it up here, or you could try E-Bay or some similar service.

You could also donate it to a school.

I tried to sell it about a month ago for $1,200. No takers here. I think I have about $3,000 or so into the thing so I was wondering if there was another use I could put it to. I guess I could donate it, and take some massive deduction, but I actually wanted to use it for something.

having pretty much the same setup, why don't you do some a/v stuff. rip and encode movies etc. . . . Possibly an overpowered server, to hold tons of hd's

Possible. I have never done anything like that before. What would I need to know? What kind of "pipe" would I need?
