It seems like some venture capital businessmen in India accidentally put me on their mailing list. In their conversation they talk about being sued by Tata and some other securities firm for something and how they should proceed. Here is the string of emails I received:

First message:

Ladies and Gentlemen

It was nice to have met all of you on Saturday though not a great event to have met. But at least all of us have understood what sort of mess we got into, thanks to RM Securities and Tata Securities.

As raised by Puneet in the meeting, I also learnt from another broker that the pre confirmation of the trade is required from the client.

Let us be together and stay in touch,

Cheers

The first reply:

Hi All,

TATA securities have called me and Natarajan to pay the negative amount, I guess they would have also called you people. They said if we will not pay then they will take legal action against us.

What is the next plan of action, are we all together and ready to fight against RM Securities and Tata Capital. Please suggest so that we can make necessary plan of action. Thanks

Regards,
Vivek -----

Some other assorted messages:

Nats, Vivek & All,
I have already spoken to the Lawyer, last week before even coming to the meeting. I am out of Bangalore and will be back on Monday. I will schedule a meeting with the Lawyer together and take his advise on future course of action.

Regards,

Puneet -------

Just now I have got a call saying that starting monday recovery people from tata capital will start coming to our homes, so we need to take a immediate action and before they send any legal notice we should send a notice to both tata capital and rm securities.

Hi All

I am in the same mess as you folks. It makes sense to approach a lawyer together on this. Collective action is the only way to fight matters like these. Puneet is my brother in law and since i am based out of Hyderabad, he will be representing on my behalf. As nats mentioned lets be together in this fight

Regards

Puneet
Can we approach a lawyer together, If we dont do this together, we may lose out, thanks
natarajan

Im not sure how I ended up on the mailing list, but this could be an opportunity for someone out there to cause some mischief. Make up a fake gmail address, Tatalegal@gmail and send threatening messages to these guys or something. Can anyone think of a way to profit off of this?

Actually, yeah, sending an email to Tata that you have inside emails from Nats et al might net you some bank! As well as probably be unethical and illegal, but psshh... who follows the rules?

I'm sure there's a disclosure attached to that email, that if you're not the intended recipient that you should do something to it, like delete. I"m not too sure how those things work, but I've seen them around <shifty eyes>.

Or... just sit it out and hope to gain some inside information ;)
