So I got some spray paint on my LCD...

Was attempting to mod my LCD with a bit of color and didnt notice the tear in the paper sheltering the LCD. I havent tried anything like googone yet. Any suggestions??

well if you hadent taken the time to post this, you probably could have wiped it off before it dried

I would imagine that it will clean off easily if it was spray paint...I would try Goo Gone.

Well you can try Goo Gone but I think you might take off some of the LCD's anti-glare stuff that's on the screen.

i would think some sort of solvent would work too, maybe isopropyal alcohol and some gentile rubbing though you still may lsoe some of the anti-glare coating

Well, I got it all off with an ATM card and a gentle scraping...thanks for the info guys!!

Actually... that's not correct.

My Dell Inspiron 8200 recommends that you use Alcohol to clean the screen...

I guess most Dell LCDs aren't hurt by alcohol... not sure about other manufactuers.

It's alpha radiation anyway. I don't think that'd make it too far through the air - which is why the picture tube is evacuated.
