So I got some Mahi Mahi, how should I cook it?

I have some Mahi Mahi filets, and I wanna cook them tonight. Any suggestions? My broiler kinda sucks, so I don't want to broil them. I was thinking of frying them, but I didn't know what to season it with. Baking is also an option. It's too cold to grill out right now(I'm in Chicago). Any suggestions?

Anyway, anyhow. Someitmes I just sprinkle them with salt-free lemon pepper seasoning and grill them, and even that is good.

Mahi Mahi is the perfect fish for fish tacos, it's firm texture after cooking and it's mild flavor make it ideal. If I had fresh mahi mahi I would buy a head of cabbage, corn tortilla's and a bunch of peppers and make some fish tacos.

I vote that you brave the cold for a few minutes and grill. Fish grills up pretty quickly, so you won't suffer for long. Failing that, I'd broil. As a last resort bake, but fry it first. Do the fish in a REALLY hot pan for about a minute with maybe a light flour coating. Just do it enough to sear the outside and build up a bit of a crust so that when it bakes it doesn't dry out. There's no really bad way to cook mahi mahi, it's great any style as long as you don't ruin it. :Q

egg wash
panko (japenese bread crumbs)
minced garlic
fresh pepper
sea salt

dip in egg wash, then coat in panko, garlic and s/p...

fry up fish in a little olive oil....serve slightly undercooked...
