Well, just got back from Autozone. My pan plug is 5/8", and the guy gave me a 1/2" one to oversize it...Hopefully I can install it tomorrow...if it doesn't rain...

How is that gonna work? If your pan plug is 5/8" then the new one is even smaller.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Think you have a leak now? Wait until you put that 1/2" plug in a 5/8" hole :p

Take it to a garage and have it fixed... then take the bill to the place which changed your oil. Demand that they pay it, or sue them.

So you can change the oil in the diff by yourself, but not the engine oil?

anyways, proper way to do it would be to pull the pan, and weld in a nut

cheap way would be to oversize it.. but you'll have to tap it, and hopefully not get metal filings in the pan.. which will happen. lol

Looks like one of their "elite $6 per hour grease monkeys" stripped out your plug man. Go straight back there, and let em have it. Too much torque on an oil drain plug is bad....mmmkay?

ouch, suv should be easier too right? don't really have to jack it up to reach the plug and leave a pan under...
