I run a 19" LCD, a 21" CRT, and a 15" CRT.

LCD in the middle, big CRT on the left, other on the right. I've angled the CRTs to face me when I'm working, so the LCD doesn't sit quite as far out into the desk as it would otherwise, but there is enough room for CD spindles, wireless recievers, that kind of thing behind it. It works well for me.

I asked because I notice you have a eVGA Geforce 8800GTS 320MB @ 625/2000 video card and for a 24" monitor and gaming that can be a little difficult with only 320 MB of memory even with FSAA and AF totally off. I guess you lose some and win some. You can't always afford the best of everything.

I power my 2407 with a 7800GT. I play source on max settings without problems. Granted, I don't maintain a 90+fps rate, but ~40fps is as low as I have noticed it. I am not a heavy gamer by any means. Once or twice a week is it for me.

I once had a pair of 2407 screens hooked up at once, but my neck got a serious workout. I take tons of pictures, so the real estate was great, but I did not find it worth the cost as I would rather have a single 30" screen at that price. (2x 2407 cost)

I'd -pay- to get rid of an enormous 50 pound block of garbage. In fact, I have done exactly that with a very, very old (early 80s) monochrome CRT a few years back when I cleaned out my basement. You can't just throw them out, they contain hazardous materials and must be properly disposed of. Most junkyards charge $20 or so.

In short, $25 is great, provided you don't have to ship the thing.

You should throw it away while you still have your eyesight.

I would buy it...</end quote></div>Unless you live in the New Orleans metro area, shipping would kill you.

Hey, I live on the westbank. ;) Unfortunately, I've replaced my crt's with lcds a couple of years ago and will never go back.:D

I second the idea of donating it.

I use a 24inch LCD in the Center with two 19inch CRT's on the sides. They work great and give me a lot of extra usable screen area. I use the right monitor for my Slackware 11 desxtop and the center and right side for my XP box. I control everything with my Das Keyboard and 1 mouse and use Synergy rather than a KVM. It is my favorite setup.

Holy similar thought process batman. I've got an IBM P-200 that I'm also trying to figure out what to do with. Is there any market for these?

I'm using an LCD/CRT dual pair and I can't stand it. I'm grabbing every extra bit of cash I can to get a second LCD.

im not really a heavy gamer (dont play every single day), but i do game quite a bit.

my 8800GTS powers all of the games i play (ut2k4, etc) at 1920x1200 with 4x or 8xAA/16xAF depending on the game. i usually play "older" games though, so thats how my fps is usually above 60. honestly, AA/AF at that high of a resolution didnt bog down the video card at all...it still kept going. at the time, the 640MB version was $100 more expensive and i was on a budget so i went with the 320MB.
