What I don't get is how a lawyer is going to keep you from paying the ticket.

Ameesh, I don't know if you're aware of this, but WA law allows you to get one ticket dismissed under the deferred adjudication statute every 5 years. I'm not sure on the term, since this is not my area of expertise, but I know that there is a law like that. Most likely though, the lawyer will pursue a burden of proof strategy. Those work usually. Either way, you are right, you will likely get off.

Cheers ! :)

If yer gonna get busted for speeding, at least make it worthwhile... I mean... 70 in a 60... come on. Go for 85 next time.... You don't get thrown in jail until you are >30 over speed limit. :D ;) In TX, they will rarely pull you over for <10 over speed limit.

j/k. hope all works out well. Too bad we don't have unlimited speed limits in some places in every state. Some days I just feel like driving 120.

Ameesh,

Where'd ya get nailed? Noticed you were from Redmond, just wondering if it was one of the traditional speed traps around here.

I do have to say, the more I read about all the crap people go through that get tickets, it makes me speed less every day. Its a good excuse to read more on the dtmpower forums and maxima forums....
