Can't build the rig until the PSU comes from the egg.

Where did you get that cpu from? I just ordered a 3200+ OEM from monarch and I was wondering what to expect.

I tink I hae heard that the recent eek chips hve a slightly worse Ocing potential than their predecesors. Alot also just depends on the individual chip. Just do some OCing and see where you can get.

There is no way you can tell by the week how well it will OC. You can make geneal guesses like 750% of week 44s hit 2.5GHz, but only 40% of week 52s hit 2.5 GHz. Again, just texst it out and give us your results! that should be an awesome system even without any OCing.

O/C'ing is not a guarantee, even with a 'good' week you may still get a dud. My 3200+ winnie week 50 runs @ 2.6GHz 1.47v

Yep I'm very pumped about the system. I know it's a toss up on individual chips regardless of the week, but I was just wondering if there were any success stories around my stepping.

I'll probably have to wait until around this weekend to get everything up and running. I'm excited to go from my mobile XP setup to this. I was only really hoping for FX-53 speeds (isn't that 2.4ghz?) so I'll be perfectly happy with 2.3-2.4ghz.

I don't push it, only 250x10 at 1.5V actual. It runs nice and stable there.

There was a thread a little while ago about week 51 being a 'dud' week, but a few people came in and reported some decent week 51 numbers. Here it is.

I'm building my box around a week 50 3200+, so far it looks like it's gonna top out around 2.6 with 'comfortable' voltage, ie. 1.55 or so. Real testing will begin after my vid card arrives Wed. or Thu. Then I'll be able to complete this thing and settle on an OC number.
