I was at Fred Meyer(West Coast Wal-Mart like place) and all I wanted to was watch a little Training Day. When I reached the cashier, a woman with teh mustache, she asked me for for my valid washington drivers license. It was sosososoosos lame, and I got denied. Not like I was buying Showgirls 🙁

Edit Fixed 😉

Ok, so it sucks that the lady was doing her job, riiiight.

It's not. At that store you're supposed to ask for a birthday, not ID, and it's to your discretion(sp?) from what people I know that work there have told me.

So? You were underaged....it could be expected. I was carded buying Matrix Reloaded tickets. I was 20 at the time. :|

So you think they should ask a terrible question that allows the person to freely lie and get away with it, rather than take a look at proof of age issued by a government institution? OK then...

If they were supposed to ask for ID, I'd have no problem, but when they aren't and since it makes it so I can't get what I would like, it's teh lame.

well if they "weren't" supposed to ask for id and they asked your birthday would you have lied?

Wait, you got stopped from buying a nonporn movie? Are you joking? What kind of fvcked up nazi state do you live in? Never have I seen or heard of someone beign stopped for going to/buying a rated R movie here in California.

Even when I went to Utah when I was 14 I didnt get stopped buying tickets to a rated R show. I Always thought those were like blue laws or something.

'
Only to go into buildings, :brokenheart:

since Sept 01 has been worse for that type carding. 🙁

Seems like half of the stuff I try to buy at walmart brings up the check id nofication. Took me about 10 minutes one day to get checked out, because the lady couldn't make the connection between my birthday being 4/18/85 and the computer saying born on or before 12/28/85.
But when I went to a cigar store to buy a few cigars for a gift, the guy didn't even bother to check my id, even though he checked the id of the customer infront of me, who looked noticeably older then I.
