I had an interview last monday for a job. I got the call back yesterday saying they'd like to meet with me again, this time with some fo the people I'd be working with and some management. I'm assuming that this means the job is about 90% mine (eh?). I am pretty confident I can do the job beyond their expectations, and I have decent people skills. What else can I do to really motivate them to hire me? What do you suppose will be different about the second interview as compared to the first? What questions can I expect to be asked? Any help of comments are appreciated

FWIW, I'm an electronics tech by trade, and the position is for a high level tech to lead the design, assembly and support of the companies new product.

Have they made you an offer yet? I would hold off until they make an offer.

That is probably the worst advice I've ever heard...

I would hold off on the celebrations until an offer is put on the table. ;)

Why is that the worst advice? Perhaps you'd like to offer some then instead of just making comments.

Because he essentially said "I'm going on a callback" and you said "Unless they made you an offer, hold off"...

Is it wrong to hold off the celebration until he's really sure that he's hired??

Well, I don't read between the lines like most of you do, but all I see is redly1 asking for advice and her209 telling him to hold off until an offer is made. Only on his second post did her209 mention a celebration...

Be confident also ask them what you would do in a typical day? Is there room for growth for that position? What new technologies or tools will you learn to use that you already dont know? And if you're hot run away from eakers! She'll chase!
