set of 200 chips in a case with 2 sets of cards, and 5 dices.

i have no idea what to do with the dices... normally i just play poker with my friends, so i dont what use they have. Any ideas how I could put them to use?

Also, i was wondering... when watching tv, or movies... you'll sometimes see people of "african-descent" :) throwing dices against a wall in an alley or something. How does that game work? I always wondered. I have no idea how to play craps or anything.

it depends, theres a bunch of different rules that change from area to area.

there games with two dice or three.

i had a "afri(fvck it) black friend that taught me how to play one day and i think u had to throw an 11 and if you didnt and one of them was a 6 u threw again or something, i dont remember it was back in high school. but it changes from area to area.

Are they the clay poker chips? I want to buy some chips myself but the good ones are spendy. Oh, btw its dice (plural for die), and they can be used to play one of the most fun games of all time, liar's dice.

The dicing we did around here was really simple. Roll 3 dice, keep 1 roll, roll 2, keep 1 of those, then roll the last one. Add up the numbers, 3's count as 0. Lower wins.

people, and casinos don't use real clay chips anymore. they use some kind of composite.

I'm pretty happy with what I got. my set from 5star deal when there was a 20% coupon a little while ago. My friend bought another diff set so we could save on shipping. If you wanted to go a bit cheaper, get the diamond chips. They don't look as nice, but they still feel pretty good from what I hear.

originally they messed up my order and i was missing 50 chips from the set. I called them up, told them, and they sent the rest. They should be arriving tomorrow. This company gets my thumbs up!

U can play 6, 4, 24 with them (called "six" "four" "twenty-four"). you get six dice, you have to keep at least 1 every time. You have to have a 6 and a 4 by the end of your turn for your points to count. Your score is whatever the total of the final four dice are. Pretty easy game.

Not really a bold statement, casino's really don't use clay anymore. The problem is there is a HUGE difference between those $50-$100 sets you see on ebay (the metal core ones) and what the casino's use (which are called 'clay' out of tradition but relly arn't). As for your father's chips, if they are authentic clay chips, well, have they ever gotten wet? If they have and came out no worse for wear, then they arn't clay.

I've never seen them get wet, But I know they used to belong to my grandfather and they are 30 years old.

if they are that old, they def could be clay. however, from what i've read in places casinos TODAY don't really use clay anymore.
