Anyways the cop was at a stop sign with people walking across the crosswalk and supposedly he had me on radar. First of all I didn't see any radar, there were people walking across the road so even if he had one he couldn't use it. So I questioned him about it after he wrote the citation and he kind of back tracked and said he paced me afterwards. So did he just not enter the ticket info/or forgot. Because I haven't received anything after about 3 weeks.

In Oregon, a cop hands you a citation and you have to either mail it off with the fine, or go to traffic court. We don't recieve anything in the mail until the fine is overdue.

same in WI and UT the ticket says the amount of fine and if you want to contest it where to show up and when or if it is required you show up.

Don't get anything further in the mail.

IIRC, radar travels through most organic matter, ie people, so it wouldn't matter if he had people in between him and you, he should still have no problem using radar on your vehicle.
