So I got a parking ticket

and im trying to pay it but apparently its not in the system and its been about a week.

Am I in the clear?

No a week is not long enough. Sometimes tickets don't get put in the system until near the due date. It all depends on the backlog.

Same thing happened to me, took over 4 weeks to be added and by then it was added as being late.

Pay now and get it over with

I got a parking ticket once. I ignored it and it went away. Of course at the bottom of the ticket is said "If this is your first violation, you can ignore this citation."

I've received two parking tickets in my lifetime.

The first was outside a restaurant in Detroit... $10.

The second was for parking in the street in front of my house on garbage day... $69.

I actually didn't check to see if it had a VIN on the ticket, but because I had the windshield upgraded to a much newer style of sealant (car is a 1970 and used the old style double sided tape which was terrible), the VIN is no longer visible from outside the car heh heh.
