As some of you know my pc has been rebooting constantly and I figured it was the power supply and that was also the consensus on here as well. Sure enough I swapped in a new Antec 400 and its running like a champ...its actually running faster...anyone know whats up with that? I am able to complete benchmarks without errors or rebooting my 3dmark scores are higher I mean everything is better just from replacing the pwr supply...any ideas whats up with that?

has to do with the draw your system is placing on the power supply.

Until the latest of video cards and CPU's, PC's didn't need much amps.

Now they suck them down and inferior power supplies can't dish out the amperage's needed so things don't run right.

I had a very nice PSU (turbo cool 300) and until I upgraded to a TurboCool 425, I got infinite loop problems.

Now games run and don't lock up unless it's a known lock up issue (I really hate games that make you think something is wrong with your system).

ANTEC is what I had in there...ANTEC 400w...which is why I was so surprised to have a problem with it...I replaced it with the same thing and its all good now.

I had an ANTEC 550W that kept rebooting when it arrived brand new also

I went back to PC Power & Cooling for more cash after my RMA.....no headaches but about $50 more cash outlay for 125 less watts 🙁
