So I got a job offer, and its contingent on me passing calc II

Right now, I need a 65% on the next two tests to pass the class and graduate. I got a 30% on the first test. But now I have a tutor helping me.


So I've got the following options:


1) Drop my current job (2 weeks notice)
2) Accept the new offer (GREAT JOB)
3) Use the time off from work to work my butt off and get at least 65% on the next two tests.
4) Graduate
5) Get new job and life is good.
6) If I don't graduate, I'm left without a job, stuck without money, and having to stay here till December.



OR


1) Turn down the new job offer.
2) Keep my current job (which blows but pays well).
3) Still work butt off.
4) If I graduate, then look for a job.
5) If I don't graduate, and I have to stay until december, I at least have my job still.




What to do?

So you're saying I should leave my current job and take the risk?

I don't think I'll have enough time to learn Calc II without quitting my current job and living off savings... but I can only do that for so long.

I'm saying, do what you think is best for you. But if you can put in the hours now, and maybe work your ass off, you could be much happier long term with the better job.

How about talk to boss @ current job? Don't mention the other job offer, but let them know you enjoy working there, but are having a hard time keeping up in one of your "toughest" courses. See if you can lower your hours a bit so you can bust ass.

Then, you won't be completely broke, and will have more time to devote to your class.

Obviously, in this situation, it'd be up to you to use your time extremely well to learn what you gotta learn. But, if done well, I think it would net you the best of both worlds.

From my experience, Calc is pretty simple stuff but you can get screwed if you have a tough professor. The concepts are pretty easy to understand, but sometimes they can go over the top with overly complex test questions that go out of their way to throw you off. Anyway, good luck with it buddy.

seriously tho. that was a rough class, i dont see how someone could get a 30% on a test in there while being sober but w/e. make sure you go to the tutor and go to the prof too. they have office hours for a reason.

i say quit the job, study your ass off, and get the grade and the sweetass job. if you Fup atleast you can say you tried.

Why don't you keep your existing job, accept the new one and use your sick days to study harder.

Also buy a TI-89 if you don't have one already.
