hmm im still trying to figure this prom thing out. Im european living in US and i graduated in '02. I never went since im not too big on formal stuff and definitelly not excited to have sex with a virgin (been there done that...opting out for blowjobs). Anyway it seems to be an american tradition as far as i can tell, theres no point to it really (other for guys to blow an assload of cash).

Oh yeah for all you seniors saying it was the best time of their lives...just wait till you get to college

10 DAYS! Wth? Don't bother with a limo, GET A TUX NOW, or if you have something already that's fine. Try color cordinating with your date, if your into that thing. Corsage can be reserved up to 3 days prior (expext to spend $40+ for a nice one!) *Maybe bring her along, to break the ice somewhat. She can pay for the Boutineer ($8), it would be like a cross gift thing.

Plan something for after Prom. Midnight walk at the beach? Or maybe just a group evening meal at some nice place. Decide now if you want to pay the expensive pic prices at the dance or to get pictures done at a studio an hour before the dance.

Ask her about her dress!! Offer to go shopping with her.

edit: I did the Karayoke bar thing for my 2000 Senior prom. Cruising about in a Limo is fun! Bring a camera and CDs for the ride over. Maybe an extra gift for your date? /Aside from the corsage.

How much is your prom for a couple?
Its 170 at my school... really expensive.

You should probably get the tux soon, but you can get a corsage made the day before or the day of... just tell them what color of roses to use (make sure they match your date's dress) and tell them when you want to pick it up.
